The small-town NH guy with an ambition to become the next top designer.
To put it bluntly: majoring in Fashion Design was one of the most ignorant, ill-informed decision I have made in my life to date. The student who had a near perfect GPA, was a three-sport athlete, and had great interests in math and science rarely goes into a fine-art field - especially not fashion. I had enjoyed going to the mall, and styling my friends from clothing in their wardrobes; when it came to decide what I wanted to major in college, I decided that was sufficient enough to major in fashion.

My Background
Growing up in the rural town of Langdon, NH gave me a true appreciation for nature. The town, as I like to say "has more cows than it has humans," and where your next door neighbor happens to be at least a half a mile away. Quickly outgrowing the small town, I decided to enter college at Mount Ida College in Newton, MA. With the unfortunate closure of Mount Ida after my freshmen year, I transferred to The University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth where they agreed to finish out the program. In the middle of the Spring semester of my junior year, I received an email saying that all classes would be taught remotely for the rest of the semester due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I was unable to showcase my junior collection that year. Though through the adversity of changing colleges, and living through the pandemic as a designer entering the workforce, I am confident this has taught me to become a much stronger person overall.

Below, you can see my presentation for the "virtual runway show" put on through Boston Fashion Week. Although we did not have a physical showcasing of the collections, I was able to photograph the collection and create a showcasing of myself as a designer and images that I felt embodied my work. See my junior collection along with other work through the years.
